PVL MRSA

The first tragic victim was a young nurse who had just given birth, reports The Times, prior to that a soldier who had scratched his leg on a gorse bush was reported as suffering from the toxic effects of PVL MRSA. But, this was in October 2004…so the evil PVL-MRSA has not spread quite so fast as the recent spate of reports would have us believe, it’s been around for at least two years with only a handful of deaths, not quite so many as H5N1, admittedly, but nowhere near the number of deaths from malaria, typhoid, cholera, HIV, regular influenza, etc etc etc etc etc
