TransMatrix is a terminology and general meanings management system that provides a shared automated environment for expert quality technical and literary translation. It’s a creative powerhouse for intelligent processing of information.
This project is based on the functionality of DejaVu and DVX computer-assisted translation systems (http://www.atril.com) implementing a terminology-level EBMT conception and uses the translation matrix (a large-scale TDB) as a tool for a translation model generation which can be easily adapted to the current context just by placing a specific meaning to a translation project’s Lexicon and quick aggregating into the new clusters of meanings for all the constructive components of a sentence.
The database content is the most comprehensive dictionary that is automatically applied for assembling translation using the default meanings (the ‘Subject = 1-General’ attribute must be assigned for every translation project) and alphabetically sorted lists of the other meanings-separate entries (Subject = 2-Options) for all words, fixed expressions and grammar constructions.
