World Nanotechnology Summit Set For April 7-10

Emerging Technologies Limited has announced the first World Nanotechnology Summit (WNS2003) in New York on April 7-10, 2003. WNS2003 intends to discuss the leading edge of nanotechnology from a commercial, rather than scientific, perspective and so has strong representation from bankers and investors among the more than four hundred delegates who have already registered to attend WNS2003. Each morning of the four-day program will include speeches from leading nanotechnology experts. Scheduled keynote speakers include Steve Jurvetson of Draper Fisher Jurvetson; Josh Wolfe of Lux Capital; Tim Harper of CMP-Cientifica; Rick Snyder of Ardesta; Charles Harris of Harris & Harris; Meyya Meyyappan, Director of Nanotechnology for NASA and Margaret Blohm, Manager of GE’s Nanotechnology Program.
Each afternoon will include presentations from leading nanotechnology ventures from around the world, with each day having a specific theme:
Monday 7 April: Nanomaterials and Nanoparticles; Tuesday 8 April: Nanoelectronics and Nanophotonics; Wednesday 9 April: Nanobiotechnology; Thursday 10 April: Tools, Instruments and Computing Platforms. WNS2003 is sponsored by Inframat Corporation and the New Jersey Nanotechnology Consortium.
