A New Scientist article reports that two scientists, using data from the Russian Venera space missions and the US Pioneer Venus and Magellan probes, have noticed peculiarities in the chemical composition of Venus’ atmosphere–peculiarities which are currently only explainable via the existence of microbes in the Venusian clouds, where the temperature is a mild 70 °C and the pressure only one atmosphere.
